Denmark: Wob used to document threat to filmmaker
The director of the documentary Armadillo about the activities of Danish soldiers in Afghanistan has been threatened to silence by Danish military according to Danish newspaper BT. The paper bases its article on wobbed out e-mails.
Danish filmmaker Janus Metz recently presented the documentary Armadillo about Danish soldiers in Afghanistan. Metz was embedded with the Danish forces, yet the film has been considered to show important aspects of the war.
In one quote a Danish soldier commented on having "executed" (Danish: likvideret) Afghans - a quote that lead to further investigations following the presentation of the documentary.
But according to Danish daily BT the particular quote also lead to threats against the filmmaker himself.
BT bases its article upon an e-mail correspondence obtained via the Danish Wob.
