Policy on Acces to Information
On July 1st 2010 the World Bank introduced its Policy on Access to Information. It is aimed at giving more access to information on Board actions and projects under implementation according to a press release.
The access is governed by the Policy, which includes a basic right to a certain degree of access as well as a number of exceptions.

The World Bank also has an open data policy with access to various databases.
In December 2010 it published its first report about the use of the new policy.
